Manage and Grow Your Business using Financial Statements & Ratios is a two-part virtual workshop series for founders, managers and executives of startups and small- and medium-sized businesses. In this first session, you will learn how to:

  • Produce financial statements and ratios and use them to assess your business’s financial position
  • Identify accounting tools and techniques that are useful in decision-making for your business.
  • Learn how lenders and investors view and evaluate financial statements and ratios – critical information for any businesses seeking funding and attracting investors.

Maximize your learning by committing to BOTH of this 2-part series! Part II of the series is Tuesday, February 8th, 12-1:15 pm (registration coming soon). Part II will be a hands-on financial statement and ratio workshop. After learning about the structure and uses of financial statements and ratios in session one, participants will have the opportunity to calculate their own financial ratios for their businesses and learn how to interpret and utilize them in session 2. Registrants for session two will receive financial worksheets via email prior to the second session to complete as pre-work. This pre-work is optional but highly recommend.

Meet the instructor

Jennifer L Wingard joined Ben Franklin Transformation Business Services Network in May 2018 as an Accountant and Coordinator of Administrative Services. As part of her mission to help businesses grow, she works with clients to provide them with proper accounting skills and office procedures. Jennifer, who earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA, previously worked in governmental accounting, public accounting and private industry.

Meet the instructor

Mike Tschudy is a Vice President and Commercial Banker who partners with CEOs, entrepreneurs, and other business leaders to provide financing solutions to help grow their businesses. After a decade in finance with some of the largest financial institutions in the US and a background in both commercial banking and institutional investment advisory managing a portfolio in excess of $200 million, Mike uses his analytical expertise and thoughtful approach to help businesses solve problems, take on new projects, and achieve their desired growth. In addition to traditional financing services, Mike specializes in Merger & Acquisition transactions as well as Private Equity sponsored financing. Mike holds a Bachelor’s Degree and MBA with a concentration in Financial Management from York College of Pennsylvania and is a CFA Charterholder.
