This session features an in-depth Q&A with Jim Fetzner, a healthcare entrepreneur, policy strategist, and founder of LTCMI. Drawing from his 20+ years in long-term care, Jim will share real-world lessons on how AgeTech startups can validate products, navigate Medicaid systems, price solutions effectively, and understand the legal and regulatory environments shaping the aging services sector. Attendees will benefit from candid insights and actionable strategies to advance their startups in this complex but opportunity-rich space.
Jim Fetzner is a healthcare entrepreneur, policy strategist, and legal innovator with over two decades of experience transforming long-term care delivery through operational innovation and regulatory navigation. As Founder and President of Long-Term Care & Medicaid Innovations (LTCMI), Jim led the growth of multiple start-ups and acquisitions to a combined workforce of 500 employees, generating over $40 million in lifetime value. He is a patent holder, former adjunct professor, and published author in public choice economics, with expertise in regulatory theory and information asymmetry. His work focuses on designing new business models and securing market and government acceptance through strategic advocacy, government relations, and marketing.
He has built a track record of launching profitable, scalable, and mission-driven organizations during times of regulatory and economic uncertainty—including the COVID-19 pandemic. Jim’s leadership in applying private-sector discipline to public-sector challenges has earned him national contracts, industry recognition, and a seat at the table for conversations about the future of aging and care delivery. Currently pursuing his Juris Doctorate at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Jim continues to advise and invest in various ventures.
